everything i wanted

“everything i wanted” is the latest single from critically acclaimed singer/songwriter Billie Eilish. It was written by Eilish and her brother Finneas, who also produced the track.

Eilish had been teasing the track since early November, and spoke to British DJ Annie Mac about the song, via an interview with BBC Radio 1: “Pretty much that whole song is about me and Finneas’ relationship as siblings. We started writing it because I literally had a dream that I killed myself and nobody cared and all of my best friends and people that I worked with basically came out in public and said, like, “Oh, we never liked her.” In the dream, the fans didn’t care. The internet shit on me for killing myself, all this stuff, and it really did mess me up. I mean, the message behind the song is like […] my brother is my best friend, and I have these dreams and these things happen, and no matter what happens, he’s gonna always be there for me, and it’s the same the other way around.” the song channels alot of feelings that stem from anxiety and depression – questioning whether you are good enough for the people in your life, and ultimately the world around them.

There is no music video for the track as of yet, but the upload of the audio to Billie Eilish’s channel was uploaded on the 14th November 2019 and has received over 7.3 million views and over 879,000 likes in less than 24 hours.
