“8” is the eighth track on Billie Eilish’s debut studio album: “WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP, WHERE DO WE GO?”, which was released in March earlier this year. “8” utilizes vocal pitching and edits to make Eilish sound far younger than she actually is; more as if she is, in fact, eight years old.
With heavy ukulele instrumental and high pitches, “8” was previously titled “see-through” which was a previously unreleased track. Fans of Billie Eilish noticed that the two tracks were the same length, which was later confirmed as Eilish liked a fan account’s Instagram message to her asking: “is 8 see through?”. In both the iTunes and Apple Music description under Eilish’s album, she speaks about the true meaning of the track: “When people hear that song, they’re like, ‘Oh, poor baby Billie, she’s so hurt.’ But really I was just a dickhead for a minute and the only way I could deal with it was to stop and put myself in that person’s place.”
“8” is the less popular track on the album, with almost 6 million views on the official audio on YouTube and over 83,000 likes. There is currently no music video for the track.

I only knew about it being the 8th track, I hadn’t known about the other facts. My knowledge has now expanded!
