“THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT” is the eleventh album from American singer-songwriter Taylor Swift, and was released through Republic Records on the 19th April 2024.
The album broke records, with Spotify announcing that “THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT” broke the record for the most pre-saved album in the platform’s history, and then was announced as 2024’s most streamed album in a single day – a mere 12 hours after its release.
The album also became the first in Spotify history to surpass 200 and 300 million streams in one day, which broke the record which was also held by Swift with her previous album “Midnights”, released in 2022.
