Faith

The Weeknd

Album After Hours

“Faith” is a track from Canadian singer and songwriter The Weeknd (Abel Tesfaye), and his fourth studio album “After Hours”, which was released on the 20th March 2020.

“Faith” was written and produced by the Weeknd, Carlo Montagnese, with other songwriters being Ahmad Balshe (Belly) and Leland Wayne, and other producer being Metro Boomin, who The Weeknd has been working with from the early stages of his career. “Faith” gives a vulnerable insight to The Weeknd’s dependency issue with drugs and alcohol, and comparing the use of drugs with a once very religious individual losing their faith over time. The song features an outro with police sirens, and a verse from The Weeknd stating that he’s in the back of “flashing car”, which could be insinuating an ambulance.

There is currently no music video for “Faith”, but the official audio upload on The Weeknd’s YouTube channel has gained almost 5 million views with over 101 thousand likes since its release.
