Out of Time” is the seventh track on “Dawn FM”,  from Canadian singer, rapper, songwriter and producer The Weeknd’s fifth studio album. Released through XO and Republic on the 7th January 2022, “Out of Time” is an R&B track that samples the 1983 “Midnight Pretenders” by Tomoko Aran. Canadian actor Jim Carrey narrates the outro of the song.

Out of Time” sees The Weeknd admit his failures in a past relationship, and his intense regret of not being able to be tell his ex-partner that he loves them as they are with someone new. Many fans have speculated that this track is about The Weeknd’s ex-girlfriend model Bella Hadid, who has in the past year, recently entered into a new relationship. The Weeknd admits that he will always be there for his ex, and will always be available for them to come back to.

There is currently no official music video for “Out of Time“, however the official audio was uploaded to The Weeknd’s YouTube on the 7th January 2022. As of the 9th February 2022, the video has over 5.8 million views and almost 200 thousand likes.
