“traitor” is the second track from Olivia Rodrigo’s debut album “SOUR” and was written by Rodrigo and Nigro, with Nigro producing the song.

“traitor” is about heartbreak, and how they though her ex-partner did not cheat, Rodrigo still believes that her ex is still a “traitor” for moving on so quickly. The ballad began trending across social media after its release, with many fans of Rodrigo attempting to try and understand who the song is about. Rodrigo has not opened up about “traitor” as of yet.

The official audio video for “traitor” was uploaded to Rodrigo’s YouTube channel on the 21st May 2021, and in only a few days, the video had over 4 million views with over 300 thousand likes.
