“Demons” is the third single from American singer, songwriter and rapper Doja Cat and her upcoming third album “Scarlet” (due to be released on the 22nd September 2023), which was released on the 31st August 2023 through RCA and Kemosabe Records.
Similar to Doja Cat’s previous singles from the “Scarlet” album like “Attention” and “Paint The Town Red”, “Demons” sees Doja Cat address and list the criticism and insults she receives on a daily basis; whether that be her new image, new sound or the notion that she has become “demonic” and sold her soul to fame.
The music video was released via Doja Cat’s YouTube channel on the 1st September 2023, and was directed by Doja Cat and Christian Bresauler. Christina Ricci makes an appearance in the video as the protagonist whom Doja Cat as a demon stalks and terrorises. Two weeks after the video was released, it had a total of 13.2 million views.
