“twilight zone” is the fifteenth track from singer Ariana Grande‘s 2025 album eternal sunshine deluxe: brighter days ahead, released on the 28th March 2025 through Republic Records. The album is a deluxe version of Grande’s eternal sunshine album that was released the previous year.

The synth-pop track sees Grande reflect on her previous relationship that now feels like a dream and somewhat unreal. The song explores subjects such as emotional detachment, disbelief and manipulation, drawing from the hit sci-fi TV show “The Twilight Zone”.

Grande also reveals how she doesn’t miss the relationship or the previous partner, referring to them as an “actor” and “black and white scenes”, alluding to the ex-partner’s inability to be authentic. Despite the song being about heartbreak, it’s more about the loss of Grande’s time and having to be in a relationship that was not healthy or, ultimately, genuine. Many fans have speculated that the song is about Grande’s ex-husband Dalton Gomez.
