Album Being Funny in a Foreign Language

“Part Of The Band” is the lead single for English indie band The 1975’s upcoming fifth album “Being Funny in a Foreign Language”. The album is due to be released on the 14th October 2022 via Dirty Hit Records.

The indie-rock track sees the group explore songwriting methods, as the chorus is not the same throughout the song and appears to be comprised of mainly verses. The song is a playful yet frank track discussing themes of drug abuse, personal reflection, self indulgence and a sarcastic take on the concept of woke culture.

The official music video was directed by Samuel Bradley, and was uploaded to The 1975’s YouTube channel on the 7th July 2022. As of the 8th September 2022, the video had a total of 3.9 million views.
