Frail State of Mind

The 1975

Album Notes on a Conditional Form

British pop-rock band The 1975’s latest single “Frail State of Mind” is the second to be released from the band’s latest album, “Notes on a Conditional Form”, which is due to be released in 2020.

“Frail State of Mind” was written by the 1975 and produced by two of the members: Matty Healy and George Daniel. In an interview with Zane Lowe from Beats 1, Healy opened up about the track’s meaning before it premiered. Healy described the song being about anxiety and how society as a whole, is having a global anxiety attack. The lyrics focus on how humans deal with social situations, modern day communication and introverted behaviour. Music critic Trey Alston writing for MTV described the song as being “what anxiety sounds like”. The 1975 performed the song live on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” on the 19th November 2019.

There is currently no music video for the track, however the official audio upload from the band’s YouTube channel has over 752,000 views and over 42,000 likes since its upload on the 24th October 2019.
