Life Goes On

“Life Goes On” is the opening track from BTS’ fifth studio album “Be”, which was released on the 29th November 2020. “Life Goes On” was written by Antonina Armato, Chris James, J-Hope, Pdogg, RM, Ruuth and Suga, with production done by Pdogg.

“Life Goes On” is an alternative hip-hop track intertwined with acoustic guitar and discusses themes of positivity and continuing on with the hardships that life hands you. In a press conference before the release of the “Be”, BTS stated that the album would act as a healer; “Even in the face of this new normality, our life goes on”.

The music video for “Life Goes On” was released on Big Hit Label’s YouTube channel on the 20th November 2020. The video was directed by group member Jungkook, and features the band relax together, as well as watching older videos of their performance as they drive around, and perform the track in an empty stadium. In only 2 days, the video has been viewed over 110.7 million times and has been liked by over 10 million people.
