Baptized In Fear

The Weeknd

Album Hurry Up Tomorrow

“Baptized In Fear” is the sixth song from rapper-singer The Weeknd‘s sixth album “Hurry Up Tomorrow”. It was released alongside the album on the 31st January 2025 through The Weeknd’s own label XO and Republic Records.

“Baptized In Fear” is a slow electronic rap track where The Weeknd breaks down his feelings of guilt, regret and anxiety leading him to be physically and mentally paralysed. The Weeknd describes a panic attack as if he is “baptised in fear”, hence the title of the song. It’s a more vulnerable track from the artist, a different theme from his usual songs of heartbreak, infidelity and wealth.
