“Aperture” is British singer-songwriter Harry Styles’ 2026 single from his fourth studio album “Kiss All The Time. Disco, Occasionally.” It was released through Erskine Records and Columbia Records, and was written by Styles and Kid Harpoon, with production done by Harpoon himself.
“Aperture” sees Styles enter a new era sonically, with “Aperture” being his most abstract release to date. The techno/electropop song is 5 minutes and 11 seconds long, and critics have called it his most daring release yet.
Speaking to BBC Radio 2, Styles revealed how “Aperture” was the last song to be created on the album, as well as where inspiration for the track stemmed from:
“I think the song was the last song that was made for the album […] kind of ended up being this really perfect like mission statement of what a lot of the album was about. […] I think the opening and kind of allowing for more things and, in turn, allowing for more like positive things to come into your life was a lot about what this song and this album as a whole was about for me […] also the kind of openness to like be accepting of like transitions and be accepting of flaws and your own mistakes and and being able to look at those things and go like I was wrong there or I didn’t behave, you know, in line with who I want to be there. And being able to like acknowledge those things and therefore go through a change and make some changes you want to make um is like more powerful than kind of denying them or um you know refusing to like change at all.”

The music video was directed by Aube Perrie, and drew inspiration from the music video for “Weapon of Choice” (2001) and iconic film “Dirty Dancing” (1987).
