“Dance No More” is a song by Harry Styles, released on 6 March 2026 as the tenth track from his fourth studio album, Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally. The song was written by Styles alongside longtime collaborator Kid Harpoon, who also produced the track.

Musically, “Dance No More” combines disco, funk and synth-pop influences with a loose, party-style production. Critics noted its use of ‘80s-inspired synthesizers, live percussion and call-and-response vocals, while several reviews described it as one of the album’s more playful and energetic tracks. Variety called the song an “outlier” on the album because of its carefree atmosphere and dancefloor-focused sound.

The chorus centres around the repeated lyric “DJs don’t dance no more,” which became one of the song’s most discussed lines online. Fans frequently debated the wording after release, with many initially mishearing the lyric as “they sit” instead of “they said.” Styles later referenced the confusion in interviews, saying even his father misunderstood the line at first.

In an interview with Zane Lowe, Styles explained that the lyric “Be a good girl, go get it, Fox” references Kid Harpoon’s son, Fox. The song itself explores themes of escapism, nightlife and emotional release through music, particularly the feeling of finding connection on a dancefloor. Critics and listeners also interpreted the repeated references to dancing as a commentary on performance, freedom and self-expression.

The track was recorded at RAK Studios in London and Hansa Studios in Berlin. Musicians featured on the song include drummer Tom Skinner and the House Gospel Choir, whose vocals contribute to the song’s communal atmosphere.

A music video directed by Colin Solal Cardo premiered on 7 May 2026. The video shows Styles dancing in a gymnasium surrounded by young performers while wearing red athletic shorts and retro-inspired clothing. The choreography and styling drew comparisons to 1980s music videos and films, particularly because of the video’s sensual dance sequences and vintage fitness aesthetic.

Following its release, “Dance No More” became a fan favourite online, particularly after Styles performed it on Saturday Night Live on 14 March 2026 alongside the song “Coming Up Roses.” Reviewers praised the performance for leaning fully into the disco-inspired sound and theatrical energy of the album.
