Here We Go… Again

The Weeknd

Album Dawn FM

Here We Go… Again” marks Canadian singer and songwriter’s first collaboration with American rapper, singer and songwriter Tyler, The Creator, and is The Weeknd’s eighth song on his newest album “Dawn FM”.

Here We Go… Again” sees the modern music moguls pair up to tell a tale of the darker and more obsessive side of love. According to fans, the track is rumoured to be about The Weeknd’s ex-girlfriend model Bella Hadid, who were together on and off for over 2 years. Hadid has recently been seen with art director Marc Kalman, who The Weeknd appears to diss on the track with the lyrics “but instead you ended up with someone so basic/faceless“, as well as alluding to a new girlfriend: “my new girl, she a movie star“. The Weeknd was pictured with movie star Angelina Jolie in 2021 on various occasions, leading to rumours about the pairs relationship. Tyler, The Creator’s verse discusses his issues with commitment (the lyric: “forever is too long to me”), as well as how feelings and events can change and hinder a relationship, no matter how strong it is.

There is currently no music video for the song, however an official audio for “Here We Go… Again” was uploaded to The Weeknd’s YouTube channel on the 7th January 2022, with a total of over 2 million views in just under a week.
