“Free Woman” is the fifth track from Lady Gaga’s sixth studio album “Chromatica”, which was released in May earlier this year. “Free Woman” was written by Lady Gaga, Axwell, BloodPop, Klahr and Boyz Noize. “Free Woman” was produced by Axwell, BloodPop and Klahr.
“Free Woman” is a Eurodance track and sees Lady Gaga reclaiming her identiy and womanhood after experiencing sexual assault. In an interview about “Chromatica” with Paper Magazine in March 2020, Gaga spoke about the song: “it came from thinking on some days I was going to die. I was like, ‘I’m going to die soon, so I better say something important.’ Now I listen to it and know that I’m going to live.”
There is currently no music video for “Free Woman”. However, the official audio upload on Lady Gaga’s YouTube channel in May 2020 currently has 2.5 million views and 64 thousand likes.
