“The Grants” is Lana Del Rey’s third single that she has released from her upcoming ninth studio album: “Did you know that there’s a tunnel under Ocean Blvd”. The album will be released on the 24th March 2023 via Interscope and Polydor Records.
The baroque-pop track sees Del Rey pay tribute to her family – the Grants, with focus on keeping them in her heart after they’ve passed. Del Rey notes a few of the memories of her family she would like to keep in her heart in the bridge: “My sister’s first born child […] my grandmother’s last smile / I’m gonna take that too with me”.
The audio video for the song was uploaded to Del Rey’s YouTube channel on the 14th March 2023, and by the 19th March, the video had over 660 thousand views.
