Say Yes To Heaven

Lana Del Rey

Album Say Yes To Heaven (Single)

“Say Yes To Heaven” is the 2023 single from American singer-songwriter Lana Del Rey, and was originally an outtake from her 2014 album “Ultraviolence”. The song was one of Del Rey’s many unreleased tracks, but arguably the most popular of the lot.

Released on the 19th May 2023 through Polydor and Interscope Records, the song had been leaked from as early as 2016, and gained a huge amount of attention online. In mid 2023, TikTok users began using a sped up version of the song in videos, leading the song to eventually be re-recorded by Del Rey and officially released (both the original version and the sped up version).

Lyrically, Del Rey uses heaven as a metaphor for the powerful love her and her lover could have, asking them to say yes to heaven and to her. Del Rey also promises loyalty throughout the track, with lyrics such as “if you dance, I’ll dance” and “if you fight, I’ll fight”.

The lyric video for the song was released on the 19th May 2023 through Del Rey’s official YouTube channel. In 6 days, the lyric video had 2.7 million views.
