“Trust Nobody” is the ninth track from American singer, songwriter and producer King Princess’ (real name Mikaela Strauss) debut album “Cheap Queen”, which was released in October 2019.
Written by Strauss and song writing partner Nick Long, “Trust Nobody” is a pop-indie track discussing a turbulent relationship, where King Princess does not know where she stands. Her lover tells her to meet her at a party, however she worries that she doesn’t know anybody. The track also encompasses the concept of infatuation, particularly in young and naïve love. Speaking to Billboard.com about the Cheap Queen album, King Princess explained that the album sound came about when she was “”dealing with the most vulnerable year of my life” after the popularity of “1950”, as she was under “complete stress and anxiety, and not knowing what to do with myself or with my body, and then also being in love”.
There is currently no official music video for the track, however there is an audio video of the song, uploaded to King Princess’ official YouTube channel on the 24th October 2019, and has over 42,000 views as of mid-November 2019.
