“Ohio” is the latest single and the fifth track from the extended edition of American singer King Princess (Mikaela Straus) and her debut album “Cheap Queen (Deluxe)”.

“Ohio” was written by King Princess and Tim Anderson, with production done by King Princess and Shawn Everett. Released on the 11th February 2020, “Ohio” is a pop-punk ballad about a girl King Princess used to know, but moved to Ohio. The song is a new sound from King Princess, despite “Ohio” being performed as far back 2018 from some of the singer’s earlier shows. The track features a punk inspired guitar solo, and a much louder vocal style from King Princess.

The music video was released alongside the track on the 11th February 2020, and was directed by King Princess’ frequent collaborator director Cody Critcheloe and SSION. The video starts with static, with vintage audio in the background. King Princess appears on stage dressed in a wig and hat, surrounded by shirtless men in what appears to be a cabaret-style club. King Princess sings directly to the camera, and then proceeds to throw her wig, while footage shows her playing the song live. In over a week, the video has 162 thousand views and over 14 thousand likes.
