“One For The Road” is the third track from British indie band Arctic Monkeys and their fifth studio album “AM”, which was released in 2013. Written by frontman Alex Turner with production done by James Ford and Ross Orton. “One For The Road” is a rock song about having one last drink and Turner leaving a girl behind. The song also features backing vocals from rock musician and the Arctic Monkeys’ “Humbug” album producer Josh Homme.
The music video for “One For The Road” was filmed in Mendota, Illinois and was released on YouTube on the 24th October 2013, and was directed by Focus Creeps, who had previously directed many other of the band’s videos, such as their NME Award-winning video: “R U Mine?”. The video is shot in black and white, and shows Arctic Monkey guitarist Jamie Cook driving a tractor, while the band strikes poses in a cornfield and go to a party with models and fireworks. As of March 2020, the video has 41.4 million views and well over a quarter of a million likes.
