Good in Bed

“Good in Bed” is the second to last track from pop sensation Dua Lipa and her second studio album, “Future Nostalgia”, which was released last Friday on the 27th March. “Good in Bed” was written by Lindgren, David Biral, UPSAHL, Denzel Baptiste, Melanie Fontana and Dua Lipa; with Lindgren and Take A Daytrip in charge of production.

“Good in Bed” is a synth pop track with a very unique message – don’t stay in a bad relationship just for good physical intimacy, if there is no emotional or mental closeness there. Often, songs about toxic relationships are slow, emotional and not as upbeat, but “Good in Bed” manages to sing about a serious topic while keeping an upbeat and catchy sound. On the Apple Music page for the “Future Nostalgia” album, Lipa expressed what “Good in Bed” meant to her: “I wondered about changing the title of this, because it’s quite in your face. I guess this song does what it says on the tin: It’s about when good sex is the only thing that was holding two people together. It was very fun to get to make a song like this and to be so carefree and open. Those relationships never last; it’s a cautionary tale.”

There is currently no music video for “Good in Bed” but the audio upload on YouTube has 690 thousand views and 22 thousand likes. On Spotify alone, “Good in Bed” has 2.7 million streams worldwide.
