“Don’t Shut Me Down” was released as a dual lead single at the beginning of September alongside “I Still Have Faith In You“, and is a part of the group’s upcoming ninth album titled “Voyage” – their first musical release in over 40 years.
“Don’t Shut Me Down” is a disco track that sees the group reminisce on a past love that did not work, but they have emerged as stronger people because of the pain and heartbreak.
The lyric video for “Don’t Shut Me Down” was uploaded to ABBA’s YouTube channel on the 2nd September 2021. As of the 26th September 2021, the video had received over 11.3 million views and over 261 thousand likes.
