Story of Song
It’s a love song, she’s saying that she loves a guy and it’s natural to do so, the lyrics say (I’m the X to his Y, my heart won’t beat again if I can’t feel him in my veins) It’s in his DNA to love a girl and a girl to love a boy, although in the video “Little Mix” may appear to be abusing men by hunting them down and kidnapping them. Perrie explained to Artist Direct: “‘DNA’ was one of our favorite songs. We thought it would be such a sick name for an album. We believe that what we’re doing now was always in our DNA. We were born for this. We thought it was a nice title.”
