“The Life of a Showgirl” is American singer-songwriter Taylor Swift’s twelfth studio album. Released on the 3rd October 2025 through Republic Records (but copyright owned by Taylor Swift), “The Life of a Showgirl” is a pop album that sees Swift sing about love, fame, money and power within the music industry.
The album was record in Sweden with Swedish record producers and songwriters Max Martin and Shellback. As a whole, the album received mixed reviews, with some praising Swift’s new sonic direction, while others dubbed it as a regression from her previous works.
Despite its polarising reviews and reception, “The Life of a Showgirl” went Gold or Platinum in 14 regions.
