“The Other Side” is the opening track for upcoming animated movie “TROLLS: World Tour”. The track is sung by SZA and Justin Timberlake, who wrote the track along with Ludwig Göransson, Max Martin and Sarah Aarons – with production done by Göransson and Timberlake.
“The Other Side” is a 70’s inspired modern pop-funk song about remembering to live in the moment and a self-love anthem about not forgetting your worth. Amanda Gordon from “Vulture” described the track as “a deeply infectious, groovy song peppered with the kind of handclaps and funky keyboard riffs designed to make you move”.
The music video was released alongside the song on the 26th February 2020. Directed by Daniel Russell, the video features SZA and Timberlake dancing around in various lit up rooms, filmed with a fish-eye lense camera for a late 90s feel to the video. In less than one week, the video has 4.2 million views with 155 thousand likes on YouTube.
