“Kids Again” is the eleventh track from British singer and songwriter Sam Smith and their third studio album “Love Goes”, which was released on the 30th October 2020. The song was written by Sam Smith, Ryan Tedder, Ali Tamposi, Andrew Wotman (Watt) and Louis Bell, with Watt and Bell credited for production.
“Kids Again” discusses the loss of innocence and the gradual transformation into a mature adult, as well as missing the days when they had no responsibilities. Speaking to Clara Amfo on BBC Sounds, both Smith and Amfo agreed that the song featured sounds very prominent in music in the 1970’s and 80’s – with Fleetwood Mac being noted. Smith also stated his thoughts on the track: “This is a bridge to my next record”.
