“ivy” is the tenth song from American singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Taylor Swift and her ninth studio album “evermore”. The album was released along with all the songs on the 11th December 2020 through Republic Records.
“ivy” was written by Swift, Aaron Dessner and Jack Antonoff, with production done by Dessner. “ivy” is set over a “ticking arrangement”, with banjo and trumpets in the background, and talks about a married woman who is in love with another man, using ivy as a metaphor to show how the woman is covered in her lies and her affair.
There is currently no music video for “ivy”, but there is an official lyric video that was uploaded to Swift’s YouTube channel on the 11th December 2020. As of mid-January 2021, the video has 3.1 million views and 111 thousand likes.
