Love affairs that don’t last forever but fan base that remains loyal. Cliff performed ‘Golden’ at his 50th anniversary concert in November 2008. It has been written for his fans thanking them all for their support during the 50 years of his career. In an interview with Paul O’Grady, Richard said:”It’s saying love affairs don’t last forever, but you and I, we’ve stood side by side through the storms together and all through the years, you have been golden”, Cliff also said:”Never mind the gold records, the public have been golden, and so it’s a very emotional song to sing.”

An emotional time for Richard when he celebrated his 50 years in the business by dedicating ‘Golden’ to thehis loyal fans all around the world.

Cliff Richard released ‘Golden’ in November 2008 in a concert, but the album  75 at 75 containing the studio recording of ‘Golden’ was released on September 18, 2015
