“epiphany” is the 13th track on Taylor Swift’s eighth studio album “folklore”, and was written by Swift and producer Aaron Dessner, who is also credited for the song’s production.
“epiphany” is hymn-like in its sound, with Swift’s haunting vocals adding to the song’s eeriness. “epiphany” is about the COVID-19 pandemic, where Swift compares the frontline workers such as doctors and nurses as “soldiers on beaches”, as well as discussing how the pandemic took the world by surprise: “something med school did not cover”.
There is no music video for “epiphany”, however there is an official lyric video that was uploaded to YouTube on the 24th July 2020. As of late September 2020, the video has 5.3 million views and 156 thousand likes.
