“coney island” is the tenth track from Taylor Swift’s ninth album “evermore”, which was released on the 11th December 2020 through Republic Records. The song was written by Swift, Swift’s partner Joe Alwyn, and Aaron Dessner and his twin brother Bryce. Both Bryce and Aaron produced the song. The song also features Matt Berninger from the National.
“coney island” is an alternative rock, and indie folk song that recalls the memories of a couple and their time spent on Coney Island, in New York. The song features vocals from Swift and Berninger, with regrets from them for not placing their love in the centre of their life. Speaking to the Rolling Stone this month, Dessner revealed that him and his brother sent Swift some of the instrumentals they had made for their band, the National – leading one of those to be the starting point for “coney island”.
There is currently no music video for “coney island”, but the official lyric video has 2.2 million views and almost 100 thousand likes.

This is easily the best song on the album, so beautifully done. A perfect union.
