“BLACK PARADE” is the latest release from American singer and songwriter Beyoncé and was released on the 19th June 2020. The track was written by Beyoncé and her husband Jay-Z, Derek James Dixie, Akil King, Brittany Coney, Denisia Andrews, Kim Krysiuk and Rickie Tice – with production done by Beyoncé and Derek Dixie.
“BLACK PARADE” was released as a single on the 19th June 2020, which is also referred to as “Juneteenth”, a day that originated in Beyoncé’s home state – Texas. “Juneteeth” commemorates the end of slavery in the United States. The track was released in the wake of George Floyd’s tragic death, and serves as a celebration of black culture, as well as supporting black activism. All proceeds from “BLACK PARADE” go to the BeyGOOD’s Black Business Impact Fund, which provides help for small black-owned businesses in need.
There is currently no official music video for the track, but the audio upload on Beyoncé’s YouTube channel has 3.5 million views since its release on the 20th June 2020.
