TEXAS HOLD ‘EM

Beyoncé

Album TEXAS HOLD ‘EM (Single)

“TEXAS HOLD ‘EM” is one of Beyoncé’s singles as part of her upcoming eighth studio album. The track was debuted and performed at the 2024 Super Bowl, and marks Beyoncé’s entry into the country genre.

The track has heavy western influences and could be seen as Beyoncé’s love letter to the south and her southern roots and history. The song is upbeat and also focuses on fun, dance and having a good time with lovers and friends at a local bar.

Music critics praised the track and its celebration of the black roots within country music, as well as sparking conversation for better representation of black country artists.

The lyric video was released on the 13th February 2024 via Beyoncé’s YouTube channel.
