“BREAK MY SOUL” is the lead single from American singer Beyoncé and her upcoming seventh studio album “Renaissance”, which is due to be released on the 29th July through Parkwood Entertainment & Columbia Records.

The house/dance-pop samples Robin S’s iconic 1990 dance track: “Show Me Love”, as well as sampling vocals from bounce legend Big Freedia and her 2014 track “Explode”. The track sees Beyoncé sing about a fresh start in life and regaining control in all facets of life. The song has many layers, with it changing throughout the track, really breaking the boundaries of storytelling within music.

The lyric video for the song was released on the 21st June 2022 via Beyoncé’s YouTube channel. As of the 28th June 2o22, the video had 10.8 million views.
