Album So Close To What

“2 hands” is the fourteenth track from Canadian singer-songwriter Tate McRae and her 2025 studio album “So Close To What”

The electro pop inspired track sees McRae long for her lover to always keep 2 hands on her like her life depends on it. The song explores themes of physical intimacy and falling in love.

In a press release for “2 hands”, McRae revealed the song’s meaning:

“The song captures the feeling of falling in love and how sometimes just being close to someone is all you really need. A genuine connection goes beyond needing constant reassurance or fancy things, simply being together is what matters.”
