Album exes (Single)

“exes” is the second single from Canadian singer-songwriter Tate McRae and her second studio album “Think Later”, which released on the 8th December 2023 through RCA Records. “exes” was released on the 17th November 2023.

The catchy pop song follows on McRae’s same confidence that she displayed in “greedy”, except for being unapologetically herself. In “exes”, McRae reveals her unpredictable and often flippant nature in relationships but remains proud and confident in who she is.

McRae spoke to Rolling Stone about the track:

“This song was kind of like the last Hail Mary of the album, and we wrote it in like, I kid you not, 30 minutes, and recorded and produced the whole thing within 90 minutes. It was basically just the last remaining thoughts in my head for the album.”

The music video for the song was released via McRae’s official YouTube channel on the 17th November 2023 and was directed by Aerin Moreno. As of the 7th December 2023, the video had over 8 million views.
