“WUSYANAME” is the fourth track from American rapper and producer Tyler, The Creator featuring rappers YoungBoy Never Broke Again and Ty Dolla $ign. The track samples H-Town‘s “Back Seat (Wit No Sheets)“.
Sonically, the track is reminiscent of the sound of 90’s R&B, lyrically detailing Tyler, The Creator falling for a woman he has just recently met to find out that she is in a relationship. Tyler, The Creator lists off the experiences and items he would like this woman to have, slowly realising he has no information about her – including her name.
The music video was released as the same day as the single to Tyler, The Creator‘s YouTube channel. Directed by Wolf Hayley, the retro-themed video shows Tyler, The Creator on a road trip where he meets the woman he discusses in the song. In just a month since the music video’s upload, the video had received 7 million views and 516 thousand likes.
