“Who Dat Boy” is the fifth track from American rapper Tyler, The Creator and his fourth studio album “Flower Boy”, which was released through Columbia Records in July 2017. The song was written and produced by Tyler, The Creator and also written by A$AP Rocky, who features throughout the track.
“Who Dat Boy” is a hip-hop trap song that discusses Tyler’s hunger to be more than a rapper and pave a way for a life he wants, while A$AP brags about his life and his materials. According to Complex, the song was originally written for rapper Schoolboy Q, who turned it down.
The music video for “Who Dat Boy” was released on YouTube on the 29th June 2017, and was directed by Wolf Haley, a pseudonym Tyler, The Creator created. The video features the face of rapper Action Bronson sewn onto Tyler’s face by A$AP Rocky, while Tyler runs away from the police who are chasing him on motorway. As of late October 2020, the video has 76.8 million views and over 1.1 million likes.
