My Oh My (feat. DaBaby)

Camila Cabello

Album Romance

“My Oh My” was the sixth and final single from Cuban-American singer Camila Cabello and her second studio album, “Romance”, which was released on the 6th December 2019. The track features vocals by American rapper DaBaby and was released the same day as the album. This is the first time Cabello and DaBaby have worked together.

“My Oh My” was written by both Cabello and DaBaby (Jonathan Kirk), Louis Bell, Adam Feeney, Savan Kotecha and Anthony Clemons Jr. – with Bell and Frank Dukes producing the song. In “My Oh My”, Camila discusses a “bad boy” who she wants to pursue against her mother’s advice, as well as enforcing healthy sexual desires that women have that aren’t solely just for monogamous purposes. The song is deemed to be a mix of reggaetón and pop.

The music video for the track was released via Cabello’s YouTube channel on the 6th February 2020. Directed by Dave Meyers, the music video is filmed in black and white, with Cabello staring as an actress who is desperate to portray a strong female character rather than a weak one. Later, Cabello goes to a bar and meets a move director played by DaBaby, who gives her the role she has always wanted. In less than 24 hours, the video has over 4.3 million views and 470 thousand likes.
