Bam Bam

Camila Cabello

Album Familia

“Bam Bam” was the second single from Camila Cabello and her third studio album “Familia”, which was released on the 8th April 2022 through Epic records. The Latin-pop song features a salsa and tropical pop inspired sound, and is sung in both English and Spanish.

“Bam Bam” was released months after Cabello’s public breakup with her ex-partner Shawn Mendes, and lyrically sees Cabello discussing the process of moving on and accepting that change is the only constant in life. Speaking to Apple Music’s Zane Lowe, Cabello revealed that the song was inspired by a saying her mother taught her: “así e’ la vida”, which translates as “that’s how life is” in English.

The music video was directed by Mia Barnes, and premiered on Cabello’s YouTube channel on the 4th March 2022. The video opens with Cabello drinking wine and eating noodles outside a shop, which later sees Cabello enter a busy club. Sheeran makes an appearance at the same club and starts playing the guitar. As of the 23rd April 2022, the video had 47.4 million views and 1.1 million likes.
