Made You Look

Meghan Trainor

Album Takin’ It Back

“Made You Look” is the second single from American singer-songwriter Meghan Trainor and her fifth studio album “Takin’ It Back”. The song was released on the 21st October 2022 via Epic Records.

“Made You Look” is a doo-wop inspired song that sees Trainor expand on and admit to her insecurities after the birth of her child. Centred around body image, the singer explained that the song came from body image exercises her therapist asked her to do, which included her looking at herself naked in the mirror for five minutes everyday. Trainor expanded on the single and it’s personal importance for her via Wjol:

“After having a baby, I struggled really hard to feel sexy. I actually wrote this song when I was ass-naked singing the chorus in the shower. I can wear all of these gorgeous things, but I look better without all of that s*** on. I wrote a self-love anthem for myself. Even though you had a baby, went through it, and your body shows it, you’re still sexy.”

The music video premiered on Trainor’s official YouTube channel on the 21st October 2022. As of the 7th November 2022, the video had a total of 13.1 million views.
