“Last Last” was the first single released from Nigerian rapper Burna Boy and his latest album “Love, Damini” which was released on the 8th July 2022 through Atlantic Records.
The afrobeats track contains a sample of American singer Toni Braxton and her 2000 single “He Wasn’t Man Enough”, and sees Burna Boy address personal struggles and how a breakup (the rapper was previously with Jamaican-British rapper Stefflon Don) has affected him. Burna Boy emphasises that the use of booze and marijuana has aided him in healing his emotional wounds.
The music video for “Last Last” was directed by Burna Boy and was uploaded to his YouTube channel on the 13th May 2022. The video sees Burna Boy performing at concerts, owning multiple cars and having a pool party with all his friends. As of the 8th August 2022, the video had a total of 45.3 million views.
“Last Last” is certified Silver in the United Kingdom.
