Jimmy Cooks (feat. 21 Savage)

Jimmy Cooks” is the final song on Drake’s seventh studio album “Honestly, Nevermind”, which was released on the 17th June 2022 through Republic and OVO Records. It is the only song on the album that has a feature, and it is with American rapper 21 Savage.

The rap song is the only one of its genre on the dance album,  and references Drake’s character on the Canadian series “Degrassi: The Next Generation” who was called Jimmy Brooks. The song also sees both rappers talking about their pasts, with Drake focusing on his past acting career and what the future holds for him. The song references NBA duo Shaquille O’Neal and the late Kobe Bryant, as well as the slapping incident between actor Will Smith and comedian Chris Rock at the 2022 Oscars.

There is currently no music video for the track, however the official audio video on Drake’s YouTube channel has 10.8 million views as of the 5th July 2022.
