“IDGAF” is the seventh track from Canadian rapper Drake and his eighth studio album “For All The Dogs”, which was released in October 2023 through OVO Records and Republic Records. The track features American rapper Yeat.
The song begins with a sample of the 1977 song “The Tunnel” from Azimuth, and was actually recorded by Yeat in late 2021 and was a firm fan favourite. Despite Yeat having no intention to drop the trap fully and only sharing snippets throughout the years of 2021 to 2023, the song ended up being on Drake’s album.
“IDGAF” sees Yeat express his non-chalant personality playing on the song’s title which is an acronym for “I Don’t Give A F**K”. It is essentially a diss track towards an unnamed former collaborator and friend, where Yeat taunts the target’s lack of creativity and originality, with Drake only singing in the first verse and first chorus, also referencing this anonymous individual.
“IDGAF” is certified Gold in Poland.
The audio video has 29 million views as of the 27th January 2024.
