This love song is the lead single for the Fifty Shades Freed movie, the last part of the Fifty Shades Trilogy.
In an interview with Kiss FM UK, Liam & Rita were asked about the picture they posted on Instagram before Christmas that they’re working together on a soundtrack, and how the song came about, Liam replied: “I had been in LA and I got the chance to record this song I Approached shades of grey “the film” with a couple of songs I had that I’d done and this was a song that I went in and recorded and it kind of was just all of a bit on one level because obviously it was.. well I got it was sung in a female vocal, and it was like alright ‘I would sing it like an octave down and then do the chorus simple.” Ora added: “I actually knew he recorded it after he recorded it before he knew that I knew, does that make sense?, I knew he recorded it and I didn’t tell him. So I went back Blog track then I was just like ‘I heard Liam has just recorded it and we just rapped on the movie And I was like look it’s the last movie of the trilogy like I really want to end this with a bang I heard the song as well. I was like it’s such a great record It’s so euphoric and like open And I just really would love to be a part of it.” Ora continued: “It wasn’t the lead single until I Got even more interested because he put his vocal now. I’m such a big fan of Liam. I was like I need to be a part of this with Liam, one: because it’s British Invasion and two: because it will be just lovely ending to such a great experience, and here we are.”
