“Casio” is the sixth track from British neo soul band Jungle and their second studio album – “For Ever”, which was released on the 26th August 2018 through XL Recordings.
“Casio” was written and produced by Jungle members Thomas McFarland and Joshua Lloyd-Watson, as well as songwriter and producer Inflo. The song is a funky ballad about heartbreak and a dysfunctional relationship. The song features vocal snippets from a musician called Melissa Young, who Jungle revealed to be Inflo’s friend, in an interview with metalmagazine.eu.
The music video was released on the 15th January 2019, and was directed by band member Josh Lloyd-Watson and Jungle’s longtime collaborator Charlie Di Placido. The video opens in a dim cocktail club, where customers are drinking and chatting. A male customer starts dancing when a young woman walks by, eventually being joined by other customers in the bar. The video ends with the text: “JULIA, CALL ME.”. One year later, the video has over 37.1 million views, and 440 thousand likes.

Chart Rankings: “Casio” itself did not reach mainstream charts, however the “For Ever” albums as a whole did extremely well – securing many chart spots globally, and mainly charting well under the 50th position.
