The track sees Sabrina Carpenter’s signature witty and innuendo back again, where she deals with rejection, fame, and wanting to make time for the right person.

In a statement on X, Carpenter revealed that “Busy Woman” was written after she submitted the original “Short n’ Sweet” album, and could therefore not be a part of it:

“surprise bitch! I wrote ‘Busy Woman’ with jack and amy just after i turned in short n’ sweet and was so sad i couldn’t include it… it’s one of my favorites so i wanted to give it to you as a thank you for all of the love!!!!!”
