“AM I DREAMING” is the last track from American singer and songwriter Lil Nas X and his debut studio album titled “MONTERO“, which was released on the 17th September 2021 through Columbia Records. “AM I DREAMING” also sees singer, songwriter and actress Miley Cyrus featured in the song.
The pop-rap song ends the album on a sadder note, with both Lil Nas X and Cyrus reflecting on their lives in the spotlight – particularly Cyrus, who has been in the public eye for most of her life due to her Disney career in the mid 2000’s. The song also reflects on the widespread criticism both artists have faced in regards to their sexuality.
The official audio video was uploaded to Lil Nas X’s official YouTube channel on the 17th September. In less than 10 days, the video had received over 5.2 million views and over 391 thousand likes.
