“34+35” is the second track from American singer and songwriter Ariana Grande and her sixth studio album “Positions”, which was released on the 30th October 2020 through Republic Records. The song is an up-tempo pop and R&B inspired track, with sexual references throughout. The song was written by Albert Stanaj, Ariana Grande, Courageous Xavier Herrera, Peter Lee Johnson, Scott Nicholson, Steven Franks, Tayla Parx, Tommy Brown and Victoria Monét. Production was done by Tommy Brown and Peter Lee Johnson.

“34+35” has been described as Grande’s most sexually explicit song yet, with the title referencing a sexual position. Grande spoke about the song on the Zach Sang Show, talking about the inspiration behind the song’s theme:

“I just think it’s ridiculous, so funny and stupid. We heard the strings that sounded so Disney and orchestral, and full and pure. And I was just like, “Yo, what’s the dirtiest possible, most opposing lyric that we could write to this?”

Rapper Doja Cat originally had a verse on “34+35”, but that was removed and she featured on another track on the album titled “Motive”.

The music video for “34+35” was released on the 17th November 2020 on Ariana Grande’s YouTube channel. Directed by Director X, the video features Grande working in a lab as a scientist, writing notes and attempting to create a robot version of herself. In only one week, the video had received over 35 million views and almost 2 million likes.
