Secrets

“Secrets” is the first collaboration between British singer RAYE and Kosovan DJ Regard, and is an electronic dance song about being in love with a man who has many secrets, with Regard and RAYE taking turns to sing the verses and chorus. The track was released on the 24th April 2020.

“Secrets” was written by Regard, Raye, John Hill, Jordan Asher Cruz, Kennedi Lykken and Stephen Feigenbaum, with production done by Hill, Regard and Johan Lenox. In an interview with Hits Radio, RAYE explained to interviewer Jordan Lee about the track and its original intentions. “It’s a funny one because I’d written the top line, to a completely different song, with the same lyrics and melody, and it was a lot slower… And then Regard, I sent it to him, and he sped it up, gave it a whole new chord thing, put these instruments in, gave it this crazy drop. He like, reignited what was a slow R&B song and made it into some rejuvenated sexy, pop-dance banger.”

There is currently no official music video for the track, however an official lyric video of “Secrets” was uploaded to Regard’s YouTube channel. Since its release on the 24th April 2020, the lyric video has 2.2 million views with 55 thousand likes.
